Dr. SATEESH KUMAR PULIGUNDLA
Dr. P. Sateesh Kumar has been associated with Prabhat Agi Biotech Limited as a Promoter/Director from 1994. As an Executive Director in Nuziveedu Seeds Limited From 2013. Worked at University of Alberta, Canada from 1988-94 as a geneticist, specializing in genetic and cytogenetic relationships and varietal improvement in Triticeae grasses and genetic improvement of wheatgrass species through gene introgression. Genes for drought and cold tolerance from blue bunch wheatgrass and Canada wildrye respectively, were introgressed into slender wheatgrass.
Worked at University of Illinoison, USA from 1985-88 as a research geneticist, an intersubgeneric hybridization in the genus Glycine and introgression.
Worked at Directorate of Rice research, Hyderabad from 1984-85 on rice breeding and genetics, specializing in breeding for multiple resistance. Coordinated, rice variety testing trials (blast resistant variety trial and upland rice variety trial).
DR. B. B. PATTANAIK
Dr. B. B. Pattanaik carries with him professional experience of Public Sector management for about 40 years in the field of policy formulation and implementation in food and agriculture sector, training and human resource development in diverse areas of agricultural development with a focus on post harvest and supply chai management.
From September 2016 to September 2019 Dr Pattanaik was Member and subsequently Chairman, Warehousing Development and Regulatory Authority (WDRA) set up by the Government of India under the Warehousing Development and Regulation Act, 2007 to regulate the Negotiable Warehouse Receipt (NWR) system in the country. During his tenure the system of Electronic NWR (eNWR) system was launched through two Repositories established for creation and management of eNWRs.
He was Managing Director, Central Warehousing Corporation (CWC) from July 2008 till Sept 2014. With a Gold Medal in M.Sc (Agriculture) from Banaras Hindu University,he began his career in the Central Warehousing Corporation (CWC), a Government of India Undertaking under the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution in February 1979. He held many senior management positions such as Regional Manager, Personnel Manager, Commercial Manager, Executive Director and as Chief Executive in the capacity of Managing Director. Dr Pattanaik also had a successful tenure as Chairman cum Managing Director of National Seeds Corporation (NSC) from 2004 to 2008 when the organization was turned around from a loss making entity to a profit making and a dividend paying enterprise.
From 1998 to 2002, Dr Pattanaik also worked as Joint Commissioner (Storage & Research) in the Department of Food & Public Distribution, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, Government of India and was overall in charge of storage and quality control of stocks procured for the Central Pool for distribution under Public Distribution System. He was a key member of the team for formulation of Government of India’s National Policy on Handling, Storage & Transportation of Foodgrains in June 2000.
Dr Pattanaik organized massive farmers training and capacity building programmes on Post-harvest Management of Agricultural produce, NWR system for improving farmers’ income. He had been a Director on the Boards of Food Corporation of India, Central Railside Warehouse Company Ltd, National Multi Commodity Exchange of India and Fertilizer Association of India Dr Pattanaik has got a passion for Management Education and has been actively associated with various Professional Management bodies. He had served on several expert advisory committees set up by the Central Government of India and has been key speaker on Warehouse management, Warehouse Receipt financing, Corporate Governance, Human Resource Management as well as logistics and Supply Chain Management in various national and international conclaves and seminars. He has widely travelled and has represented the Government of India in various Committees and Conferences abroad. He was also a Government of India nominee on the Society of Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Indore, India.
MR. K. VENKAT RAO
R. K. VENKAT RAO, is the Chief Operating Officer in our Holding Company (Nuziveedu Seeds). He has completed the course of training in the trade of Draughtsman (Civil) from Sri. Venkateswara Industrial Training Institute. He has been associated with NSL Group since November 10, 1997. He also holds directorship positions on the boards of other Companies.
MR. N. SAMBA SIVA RAO
A result oriented, self motivated and resourceful leader with proven track record and experience in leading organization and profit centre management. He has been very active in Industry bodies, including IFA & FAI, for setting the policy level agenda and focus in the sector. Now he would like to contribute his knowledge & Skills in Strategic Planning, Fertilizer Policy, Marketing & Channel Development, Supply Chain Management (SCM), towards long term sustainable growth and development of an organization.
